Elina and Raina, daughters of Rajib and Bandana Sarmah, had the honor of showcasing an evening of Bharata Natyam at the Dibrugarh District Library during their visit to Assam in December 2010.

The show was sponsored by Chaulkhowa Music College under the guidance of noted tabla exponent Dr. Dilip Ranjan Borthakur. The dancers mesmerized the audience with their skillful demonstration of this ancient art form.

Later, they were felicitated at a press conference where the sisters had the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions about the importance of maintaining a balance between eastern and western culture.
