Support a Child campaign: Rongali Bihu 2010
We are glad to inform about the ongoing campaign on Support a Child during the Rongali Bihu celebration at different locations of North America and Canada. Our enthusiastic young members Meghalim Sarma, Chandan Talukdar , Rhituparna Sarmah , Nandana Hazarika and Sun(Barkat Ali) made use of their boundless energy and immense creativity to prepare and set posters, pamphlets at different venues. With support from Satyajit Nath at Seattle , Pallav Saikia and Amitav Chakravartty at San Francisco, Sapna Bora at Los Angeles, Debojit Bora in Michigan, Hitesh Kalita at Washington, DC and Gitasree Gogoi from Calgary Canada , we were able to set up a small booth at the entrance and able to explain about the support a child project to the people who stopped by the desk and talked to us. We also distributed the copies of magazine “Friends” and also apprised the audience about the Face book and other sites available to make contribution. Your contribution will make a big difference in the life of a child and we request your support, a contribution can be made to AFNA and mail to Pallav Saikia, 5991 Corte Cerritos, Pleasanton, CA 94566
