- Arup Goswami The day started with traditional Lunch with “Doi-Chira”, “Til Pitha”, “Ghila pitha”, “Narikol’r Laroo”, “Luchi- Bhaji”, followed by a breaf General body meeting, Cultural program including a fashion show, “Mukali Bihu”and finally traditional “Bhoge – Bhat” catered from “Mother India Sweets & Resturant”Calgary.
Assam Association of Alberta celebrated “Rongali Bihu” on 16th April 2011, at Eastview Estates Community center in Red Deer. Association members and guests from Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer attended the event to celebrate this glorious festival in a traditional and fun way. 
The first edition of annual, bi-lingual (Assamese & English) magazine "Rongali" published by our association was released by the Dy Mayor of Red Deer city, Mr Frank Wong.
